Reporting to the Director of Treasury and Partner Services, the Procurement and Distribution Manager is responsible for the procurement of goods and services, and the distribution of supplies and materials where required. The incumbent for this position will be an active and participating member of the National Office Administration Team, and Grant Thornton International Procurement Committee, and will possess the skills of a proficient business analyst, effective negotiator and results-oriented project manager, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with our firm's business units when implementing national supplier contracts and programs. The key duties and responsibilities for this position include:
Sourcing, negotiating and monitoring vendor contracts and purchase agreements Preparing and assessing RFIs or RFPs requiring Management Committee approval Reviewing purchase agreements and contracts for compliance to firm policy and standards Reviewing, evaluating, and approving specifications for issuing and awarding bids Developing and employing purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures Participating in the development of purchasing workflows and the implementation and administration of a purchasing system to support the firm's procurement function Participating in the development of specifications for equipment, products or substitute materials Collaborating with other functional groups and coordinating personnel engaged in buying, selling, and distributing materials, equipment and supplies Maintaining supplier relationships through regular account reviews Resolving vendor or contractor grievances and disputes Inventory management and control (including mobile devices, promotional supplies, marketing collateral) Providing logistical and inventory support to the national equipment and leasehold leasing programs Preparing , analyzing and maintaining reports and databases regarding activity and the spend on goods and services, merchandise costs, inventory, pricing and allocations Monitoring budgets and spend where applicable Information gathering and compilation through surveys and market research Arranging for disposal of surplus or obsolete materials, and providing standards for the proper storage and destruction of the firm's files and records and management and maintenance of the Grant Thornton Store and e-Site Providing oversight and administration of the firm's procurement card program Conducting business and negotiations with high level of ethical sensitivity and awareness

The qualifications, skills and attributes required for this position include:
University or college graduate with business administration degree or diploma A minimum 5 years of experience working in a corporate business environment Intermediate or advanced knowledge of MS office Working knowledge of purchasing and supply chain management Knowledge of contract administration and/or contract law Experience preparing high quality reports and schedules Strong ability to manage priorities and multiple tasks at a high level while consistently meeting deadlines in a dynamic and energetic work environment Excellent negotiation, reasoning and analytical skills Exemplary organizational and time management skills Active listener and client-focused in service delivery Ability to communicate with clarity and persuasiveness ( written and verbal) Demonstrated business acumen and sound judgment

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
