FiveStar Gourmet Foods is currently looking for a Quality Assurance Technician I in our Ontario Location.
Under the general supervision of the Quality Assurance Supervisor, the ideal candidate will be responsible product quality and safety.
Ensure they are adequately qualified, trained, instructed, and supervised during production with their assignments and to carry out their tasks competently.
All employees are responsible for food safety and quality.
Work closely with the QA department to report and notify any food safety or quality concerns.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Routine verification of batch samples against specifications.
Routine verification of all raw materials against specifications.
Compares COA results to specification.
Coordinates equipment sanitation and swab testing on production equipment.
Ensures compliance with established procedures for production of hold and test samples and R&D samples.
Participates in various special projects as instructed by QA Supervisor.
Conducts daily weight, metal detector and seal checks of the finished product.
Conducts routine equipment calibrations.
Carries out routine Critical Control Point and Critical Quality Point monitoring and controls measures.
Carries out routine Control Points (CP's) and Quality Points (QP's) monitoring and control measures.
Oversees production lines for all procedures and specification requirements.
Ensure control of Allergens and compliance with Allergen Control Program.
Ensure Organic segregation and compliance with Organic System Plan.
Audits and assures employee compliance to GMP guidelines.
Audits sanitation of blending and production equipment.
Routine Sensory Analysis of ingredients and Products.
Shifts 1 Position - 1st Shift - 5:
00 AM to 1:
30 PM 1 Position - 2nd Shift - 1:
00 PM to 9:
30 PM Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills) Some experience in the food industry USDA/FDA experience preferred Must be flexible with schedule Effective written and verbal communication skills Problem Solving Time Management and Organization Skills Job Type:
