(Remote) Vice President, Software Product Management/R&D

The Vice President of Product will lead the product marketing, product management and product development team.
In this role, you will manage a team that is responsible for all facets of the product life cycle, with a focus on driving long-term growth.
The VP will develop a strategic vision and roadmap, enhancing the value of Globys products for existing clients and will bring new products to market.
The role will ensure that existing products meet client requirements and develop new products that align with the evolving needs of the market.
The successful candidate will possess a combination of strategic vision, business acumen, and strong execution skills.
The ideal candidate has experience in incorporating client perspectives into product roadmaps and strategies and building relationships with executive stakeholders.
The VP of Product will develop go-to-market strategies, product value propositions and positioning/messaging to target prospects.
You will serve as the internal and external advocate for Globys solutions, working with Sales and key clients.
This is a highly visible, impactful position that will play a meaningful role in supporting the growth of the business.
This remote role welcomes candidates anywhere in Canada and the US.
This role will involve working in either the PST, EST or CET (Europe) timezone.
Travel up to 25% between Canada and the USA is required.
A valid passport is necessary for this travel.
Key AccountabilitiesManage the entire product life cycle, from strategy to tactical activities, placing heavy emphasis on market trends and client needs.
Lead the ongoing evaluation of market conditions, via market research and customer relationships, to evaluate growth opportunities and strategies and identify product improvements and new solutions.
Identify, validate and prioritize product development initiatives, building business cases as appropriate.
Oversee product pricing, including refining existing models and developing new ones as appropriate.
Work with our customers and cross functional teams to define and execute a roadmap for Globys's products product development, taking into account market trends and emerging technologies.
Strategic Vision & LeadershipDevelop and communicate a clear and compelling software product development vision and strategy aligned with the company's overall goals; with a focus on value creation and value capture.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including professional services, support, marketing, and sales, to ensure alignment and successful product delivery.
Manage the product budget and financial performance, ensuring products are delivered within budget and contribute to overall company profitability.
Product Roadmap & ScalabilityConduct market research and analysis to identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive threats, and using this information to inform product decisions.
Incorporate user experience and design thinking principles into the product development process.
Foster an agile and adaptive development environment, promoting rapid iteration and responsiveness to market changes.
Drive continuous improvement in product development, resilience, and operational activitiesBe a thought leader, contributing product information and technical updates for both internal and external audiences.
What we are looking for:
At least 8
years of experience building well-crafted and successful features and enterprise software solutions.
At least 6
years of experience in people management or leading a team with a focus on people development.
Experience overseeing design with a solid understanding of user experience (UX) and its value in product design.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills by communicating clearly and comprehensively to senior executives and technical teams.
Experience in establishing and maintaining key product metrics to evaluate overall usage as well as the efficacy of features and workflows.
Ability to deal with the ambiguity associated with working in a fast-paced and changing environment.
Self-motivated, strong work ethic.
