MANAGER OF CARGO SCREENING

The Site Manager of Cargo Screening has primary responsibility for the management of the CAS cargo screening operation at the contract site level. This includes leadership, training, administrative functions, and the supervision of personnel performing cargo screening and other contract-specific security operations. The Site Manager fulfills customer-focused security responsibilities while adhering to Post Order requirements, client rules and procedures, and company policies that will protect and serve the cargo customers by preventing any deadly or dangerous objects from being transported onto an aircraft.


Essential Functions


  • Oversight and management of the CAS cargo screening operation at the contract site level.
  • Contract and Regulatory knowledge and compliance.
  • Adhering to and enforcing guidelines for compliance with TSA Cargo Screening requirements as required by the Full All-Cargo Aircraft Operator Standard Security Program (FACAOSSP), Standard Screening Procedures for Air Cargo (SSPAC),and various airline customer requirements.
  • Willing to work in close proximity with an Explosive Detection K9 and K9 handler
  • Knowledge of cargo screening protocols, including Physical Search, ETD, and X-ray screening.
  • Ensure proper screening techniques are followed and utilized at the operation site and if any deficiencies are noted, develop appropriate corrective action plan.
  • Oversee and ensure that all required documentation is complete and available for regulatory inspection (TSA) and Client.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to support The Covenant Way culture.
  • Achieve other KPI's as defined (Operations, Human Resources, etc.).

Operational Execution and Management


  • Ensure the company meets all contracts' terms and conditions.
  • Ensure optimum use of scheduling and staffing models to meet contract revenue and profitability goals.
  • Adhere to contract budgets with performance targets.
  • Meet or exceed established key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure data accuracy and entry timeliness for CAS' Metrics Dashboard.
  • Ensure all contract deliverables are submitted in a timely manner and with first-time quality.
  • Assist with Labor Relation's matters and as union liaison (when applicable).
  • Resolve operational issues and concerns.
  • Lead for client relations to resolve service concerns.
  • Establish site-based cost initiatives.
  • Must be willing to work overnight shifts (i.e. 7:
    30 pm “ 3:
    30 am +/- 1 hr)
  • Additional Functions as Directed

Minimum Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, or equivalent professional work experience.
  • Minimum 5 years Cargo Operations supervisory experience required. Management experience preferred
  • Knowledge of airline and freight forwarder contracts.
  • State Security Guard license required.
  • Knowledge of TSA cargo programs including, but not limited to the Full All-Cargo Aircraft Operator Standard Security Program (FACAOSSP), Standard Screening Procedures for Air Cargo (SSPAC), and Third-Party Canine “ Cargo Program (3PK9-C)
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain all required Airports and Custom badges/seals.
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Knowledge of spreadsheet and database applications.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
