Bilingual French/English 1 Year opportunity with great working hours Previous Insurance experience (life and health) a strong asset Our client, a leading financial institution is currently seeking 2 Bilingual Customer Service reps for their Life & Health Insurance division. 1 year temporary opportunities located downtown Toronto, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm!
MAIN DUTIES:
The department is a Bilingual Inbound Call Centre of 4 employees
Answer calls relating to Insurance Claims (Life/Health/Disability);will be corresponding with Brokers, Agents, and Clients
Work on 40 software systems, and will need to understand different policies, and know where to look them up in the system
Administration: Send out forms and letters via email/mail
Receive mail and match up information provided to determine which adjudicator to forward it to; Order archived files from offsite storage
Quality and thoroughness of call is more important versus quantity (will not be assessed based on length of call, but will be assessed on call answer , quality, and call abandonment rate)
Answer approximately 30-60 calls per day
35% calls are in French
REQUIREMENTS:
Bilingual French/English (Verbal/written - English communication is very important as majority of work is in English)
Experience working in a Call Centre, Customer Service environment (Insurance knowledge is not required, but a strong asset)
Tech Savvy; learn quickly on how to use old and new systems; familiar and not intimidated by computers/spreadsheets/ databases
Proficient MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); dept uses Windows 7
Quick learner as there is a huge learning curve regarding different policies
Able to deal with demanding clients and sensitive issues(i.e. very ill, dying, or may be calling for a relative who has passed away) to inquire where their money is, and if their cheque was mailed out; The claims process can be a long process, and may take several months
Good attitude;takes direction well; adaptable
Ability to meet CREDIT and CRIMINAL check requirements
Perks:
Monday to Friday (9am-5pm or 8:30am- 4:30pm)
$19.98/hr
4% vacation pay
eligible statutory holiday pay
Prompt weekly pay via direct deposit

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
