Chemist | IOL Production
Kelly Scientific is actively recruiting for 2 Chemists to work in the Production department of a manufacturer of opthalmic surgical products and intraocular lenses (IOL) located in Ontario, CA.
Direct Hire Mon-Fri 8-5 Pay:
DOEESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
Operate laboratory equipment including freezer dryer, shell freezer, autoclave Operate scale up and process improvement for P-heparin and Polymin Maintain accurate and complete manufacturing records Cross-training in other critical production functions including testing & release Evaluate and improve existing analytical test methods when necessary; prepare validation protocols and reports; update SOPs when necessary Write MRB reports to detail non-conformances of process and recommended corrective actions.
Performs duties in compliance with ISO13485 and FDA QSR's requirements.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE B.
S.
degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Biology (But only if you've worked as a Chemist) Minimum of two years industry work experience in Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, or Materials (plastics) LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, qualification studies and procedures.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and customers.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and to make decisions or recommendations based on this analysis.
