Credit Analyst (40 hours/week)

Summary
The role of the Credit Analyst is to provide basic credit analysis in support of the lending function across the Bank including, but not limited to, (i) spreading of financial statements, (ii) tax analysis, (iii) compliance monitoring, (iv) tickler tracking, (v) annual term loan reviews, and (vi) other basic credit functions. The objectives of this job function are to deliver consistent and reliable product for the existing analytical services provided, enhance the quality of analytical services provided by Credit Management Division to bank associates, and to deliver the product in an effective and efficient manner within established service level agreement timeframes).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Complies with and stays abreast of all policies and procedures, federal and state laws applicable to the job.
Provide, present and promote The Citizens Experience to all external and internal customers.
Review all credit files for CMD pursuant to submitted requests for completeness.
Spread financial statements and/or tax returns using Moody's statement analyzer.
Use Excel or other spread sheet programs to complete personal cash flows from tax returns, personal financial statements, credit reports, and other financial information.
Discuss credit requests and financial information with Center and Department personnel.
Must develop the ability to prepare accurate, clear, and concise preliminary analysis of financial information presented and formulate questions for review by Credit Officers/Credit Administrators.
Provide high level administrative support to the Credit Management Department on an as needed basis under the direction of either the Chief Credit Officer or the Deputy Chief Credit Officer.
Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) an accredited college or four-Year University; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Specific college-level courses in Accounting are considered necessary to the job, including Introductory Accounting and Intermediate Accounting coursework. Good understanding of basic accounting concepts.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer skills and knowledge of Excel Spreadsheet software, MS Word software and Moody's Financial Analysis.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
