Manufacturing Technology SpecialistThe Manufacturing Technology Specialist is responsible for the design and delivery of a wide variety of technical and team initiatives to address skills and development for employees within Niagara.
Detailed Description - Ensure that competencies required by existing and new processes and equipment are identified and incorporated into corrective actions - Assists in planning and implementing TPM within the scope of the Competency Management Pillar, ensuring learning supports Niagara future objectives - Manages the training process from needs assessment to evaluation.
Collaborate with other Technical Services groups to write, or work with vendors to develop, written and demonstration-based Skills Assessments to determine baseline knowledge of all Niagara Mfg Technical personnel - Perform classroom based training.
Train Operators and Maintainers in fundamental job functions, troubleshooting, and efficiency improvements.
Enact, enforce, and review Niagara Technical Policies within a training environment - Create and maintain communication channels for better information flow -- Communicate relevant information to all major customers and stakeholders - Interacts with the Plant Directors or their designees to determine plant and training needs.
Determine performance opportunities within sites, facilitates structured needs analysis to determine performance gaps and develops plans to close the gaps - Conducts post-training evaluations to ensure the effectiveness of approach, materials and delivery.
Revisions made based on evaluation results - Collaborates with colleagues within the Learning and Development function to ensure consistent application of Corporate Learning and development standards.

Work Experience/KSA-s - Required:
o 5-7 years - Experience in Manufacturing or related field o 3-5 years - Experience Position o 0-2 year(s) - Experience Supervising Employees experience may include a combination of work experience and education - Preferred:
o 7-10 years - Experience in field of Manufacturing o 5-7 years - Experience in related position o 2-4 years - Experience supervising employees experience may include a combination of work experience and education Competencies - Proficiency in, but not limited to:
o Demonstrated role as a Subject Matter Expert with regard to adult learning, training systems, and learning management.
o Microsoft Office Applications - Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, etc.
o Efficiency Improvement o Training Development o Public Speaking o Skills Assessments o New System Implementation & Administration - Able to clearly communicate how to perform complex technical tasks o Write and Deliver technically complex SOPs o Can articulate steps taken to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues - Basic TPM / Lean / Six Sigma competency - Project Management & People Management - Able to translate audit findings, assessments, and gap analysis into recommendable actions to senior staff - Strong analytical and problem solving skills - Self-Motivated with a proven record of taking the initiative - Able to work with minimal supervision - Detail-Oriented with Excellent Oral and Written Communication Skills - Able to execute tasks in a very dynamic and ever-changing environment - Exercise sound judgment and ability to work effectively with a diverse workforce Education - Minimum Required:
o High School Diploma Or equivalent years related experience in manufacturing field.
