Senior IT Network EngineerThe Sr.
Engineer is responsible for the design, deployment, and management of IT Infrastructure supporting business operations.
This position would be responsible for directing dialing operational processes to maintain system availability and performance.
Additionally, the Sr.
Engineer would be responsible for establishing technical roadmaps and process improvements required to drive business operations.
Scope:
This is a hands-on operational role with 24x7x365 on-call responsibilities, maintaining SLAs for the network infrastructure supporting Niagara-s critical business applications.
This role is also responsible for the design, implementation and testing of all Cisco based network hardware.
The function of the Sr.
Network Engineer is to design, implement, support and maintain WAN and LAN related aspects of Niagara-s Data Centers and multiple remote sites as a senior member of the network team.
Responsibilities :
Lead daily operational support processes including monitoring, patching, and data replication.
Develop departmental architecture design and integration with existing IT infrastructure.
Lead deployment strategies for new technologies and refresh of existing systems.
Develop Strategic goals and align to existing IT infrastructure Align departmental goals and objectives with business requirements.
Act as role model for administrative staff, ensuring department processes and company policies are adhered to.
Provide input to departmental staff development plans.
Track departmental budget expenses.
Oversee departmental project execution to ensure goals and schedules are met.
Provide status updates to IT Management team, keeping Managers apprised on operational and project status and issues.
(50%) Maintaining the integrity of the network infrastructure and meet certain SLAs.
(25%) Designing and implementing network infrastructure & security policies & procedures.
(15%) Assist Network Team members with cross-training and guidance.
(5%) Travel required for remote site implementation and support.
(5%) Managing vendor relationships and yearly pricing audit.
